Who We Are / Our Mission
Federal Firearms Licensees of Illinois (FFL-IL) is an 501(c)(4) non-profit organization for federal firearms licensees in Illinois. FFL-IL was founded in 2017 in response to relentless attacks against Federal Firearm Licensees by anti-gun and anti-Second Amendment groups. Our focus is primarily dealer issues in Illinois but that also affects accessibility for all IL gun owners. We are the only organization representing FFL dealers in Springfield.
Over the last 15 years a loose group of dealers in Illinois would communicate & work together during legislative emergencies that would be detrimental to the Firearms Industry, and gun owners as a whole, in Illinois. At the introduction of SB-1657 dealers in Illinois began attending meetings to address the potential impact of this bill and how to fight it. This group of dealers successfully put Senate Bill 1657 into remission for that session. This was the catalyst that inspired interested FFL holders to form FFL-IL to speak on behalf of ALL dealers to our legislators in Springfield, IL.
